Zinc oxide
Drug form and composition
Ointment. One gram ointment contains 100 mg Zinc oxide.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment in cases of intertrigo, dermatitis, exema.
Dosage and administration
The affected skin area is treated 1 - 2 times daily after cleaning the zone.
Depending on the localization of the area, and if it is necessary, dressing can
be placed, and this dressing should be changed daily.
Contraindications
The drug is not used in cases of hypersensitivity to some of the product components
and also not on discharging wound surfaces.

Pharmacological mechanisms
After topical application on the skin Zinc oxide has an adstringent and antiseptic
action. Vaseline in the product is hardly absorbed and provides conditions for more
prolonged Zinc oxide action in the place of application.
