Indications
The isotonic solution is applied as a solvent for preparation or dilution of
parenterally applied medicines.
Dosage and administration
The isotonic solution of sodium chloride is applied as an intravenous injection

enhance the toxicity of the sodium* ions.
Adverse reactions
In correct application no adverse effect was seen.
Pharmacological mechanisms
The sodium ion plays an important role in maintaining of the osmotic balance
of the tissue liquids. Its concentration in the blood is almost 0.5%, which maintains
the osmotic pressure of the blood constant. The sodium ion is the most important
extracellular ion, related to the transmembrane action potential realization.
