COMPOSITION:
Furacilin - 0.2 %
Dicain hydrochloride - 2.5 %
Antipyrin - 7 %
Glycerin to 100 %

ACTION:
A combined drug for local application with antiphlogistic, pain-relieving and antimicrobial action. Furacillin, included in the drug, is a nitrofuran derivative with a broad spectrum of its antimicrobial action. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative microbial agents, including those resistant to other chemotherapeutic drugs. Dicain is characterized by its local anesthetic effect. Glycerin has a drying effect and facilitates osmotically the penetration of the other active components of the drug.

INDICATIONS:
Inflammatory and purulent diseases of the external auditory canal and of the middle ear. Acute inflammation of the middle ear and especially after paracentesis or spontaneous perforation, chronic purulent inflammation of the middle ear, after radical trepanation of the ear.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to some of the components of the drug, otomycoses caused by parasitic fungi belonging to the Aspergillus genus.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
The drug is locally applied. After removing the secreta from the auditory canal, 4-8 drops of furotalgin are introduced into the canal, 3-4 times daily. The head of the patient should be kept tilted for about 3-5 min, then a cotton plug is applied. In furunculosis of the auditory canal, a cotton tampon soaked in furotalgin is inserted. Usually 3-4 procedures are sufficient.

MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Soulution in vials of 5 ml.

STORAGE:
At temperature (15-30° C), in a place protected from light.

EXPIRY:
5 (five) years.
