ACTION:
A combined antitussive drug with analgesic and antipyretic action.
Amidophen has an analgesic and antipyretic effect. It has a sedative
and spasmolytic action.
Ephedrine dilates the bronchi, reduces secretion and edema of their
mucous membrane.
Sodium bromide has a sedative effect on the motor area of the brain
cortex and has an anticonvulsive action.
Sodium benzoate, the extracts from athaea and thyme facilitate the
liquefaction of sputa; they have a light sedative, antibacterial and
spasmolytic action. Sodium benzoate stimulates the peristalsis of
the bronchial mucous membrane. |
INDICATIONS:
Catarrhs of the upper respiratory tract, bronchi, broncho-pneumonia,
infectious diseases (flu, measles, etc.).
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
To children aged from 6 months to 3 years - 1-2 teaspoonfuls (5-10
ml), 3-6 times daily from Tussiphen "Bebe"; to children
from 3 to 5 years - Tussiphen 1-2 teaspoonfuls, 3-5 times daily.
The syrup is taken one hour prior to meals.
MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Syrups for children and adults in vials of 125 ml.
STORAGE:
At a temperature not higher than 30° C.
EXPIRY:
3 (three) years.
