- COMPOSITION:
Glaucin hydrobromide
- 10 mg; 40 mg in one dragee.
ACTION:
An original Bulgarian antitussive agent with a natural active
principle (alkaloid with isochinoline structure, isolated from the
plant Glaucinum flavum).
It has an antitussive activity mainly with a selective central
action, inhibiting the cough center, but has no effect on the
respiratory center. It has spasmolytic properties. It causes no
constipation, and no habit-forming and addiction have been reported.
INDICATIONS:
As a symptomatic agent in cough of various etiology - colds,
bronchitis (acute and chronic), pertussis, bronchial asthma,
bronchiectasis, pleuritis, cancer and tuberculosis of the lungs. |
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Adults: 1 dragee of 0.04 after meals, 3 times daily.
Children: over 4 years - 1 dragee of 0.01 after meals, 3 times
daily.
MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Packages with 20 dragees of 10 mg and 40 mg.
STORAGE:
At moderate temperature (15-30° C), in a place protected from
moisture.
EXPIRY:
3 (three) years.
