COMPOSITION:
Codeine phosphate - 70 mg
Phenobarbital - 80 mg
Ephedrine hydrochloride - 80 mg
Potassium iodatum - 3 mg
in 100 ml of syrup

ACTION:
Codeine phosphate calms the cough by inhibiting the respiratory center in medulla oblongata and ephedrine hydrochloride causes dilation of the bronchi, reduces the edema of the bronchial mucosa, stimulates slightly the CNS and the respiratory center, increases AP. Phenobarbital has a sedative and spasmolytic effect in the dose applied; potassium iodide is excreted through the bronchial glands, it liquefies the secreta in the bronchials and facilitates their elimination.

INDICATIONS:
Cough provoked by inflammation of the respiratory tract, accompanied by viscous secreta and bronchospasm.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Thyreotoxicosis; hemorrhagic diathesis; pregnancy and lactation period; dyspnea; iodine idiocrasy; heavy degenerative diseases of the heart or other internal organs; edema of the lungs and larynx.

PRECAUTIONS:
In case of intorelance - starch, sodium thiosulfate, sodium hydrocarbonate, milk and egg white are taken orally.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Adults - 1-2 teaspoonfuls every 2-4 hours.
Children from 6 to 10 years - 1 teaspoonful, 3 times a day.
Children under 6 years receive Ephedrine only at doctor's prescription.

MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Syrup in vials of 100 ml.

STORAGE:
At temperature not higher than 30° C.

EXPIRY:
2 (two) years.
