COMPOSITION:
Boric acid 5 % in mineral jelly

ACTION:
Boric acid has antiseptic action. Applied in a 5 % concentration as ointment upon the skin, it has a light antiseptic, dehydrating and keratoplastic action.

INDICATIONS:
Boric acid and its derivatives must not be applied to children below the age of 3; it should not be applied when the skin is not intact because of resorption risk.

SIDE EFFECTS:
When applied on extensive skin areas with damaged intactness, resorption can occur and symptoms of intoxication with boric acid may be observed: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rashes, kidney damages, anemia.

MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Ointment 5 % in tubes of 18 g.

STORAGE:
At moderate temperature (15-30° C).

EXPIRY:
3 (three) years.
