ACTION:
Xylodren is a local anesthetic the content of which corresponds to the modern requirements for a local anesthesia. Synthesized on the basis of lidocaine to which different combinations of vasoconstrictors - adrenaline and L-noradrenalin - have been added, Xylodren ensures a prompt and prolonged anesthetic effect, clean operation field at relatively low toxicity. The different combinations of Xylodren - yellow, green, red and brown with different content of vasoconstricotors allow a broader application according to the concrete dentist's requirements.

INDICATIONS:
Xylodren is applied to young and middle-aged patients who do not suffer from hypertension or cardiovascular diseases.
"Yellow" Xylodren containing 1:25 000 adrenaline is used, owing to its good anesthetic effect, for infiltrative and conduction anesthesia in particularly painful and more prolonged interventions, as well as in medium and major surgical stomatologic interventions.
"Blue" Xylodren containing 1:50 000 adrenaline and 1:50 000 noradrenaline is better tolerated, hence it is used as an anesthetic in everyday practice.
"Green" Xylodren containing only noradrenaline 1:20 000 as a vasoconstrictor is the most adequate preparation for administration to patients with unstable circulation who do not tolerate adrenaline.
"Red" and "Brown" Xylodren forms with reduced adrenaline concentration are suitable for application to patients with a moderate tolerance to adrenaline.
The depth of the anesthetic effect of Xylodren in its different combinations allows work on live teeth, trepanations of painful periodontitis teeth and local anesthesia of mucosa by touching.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Severe myasthenia and cardiovascular insufficiency. The preparation should be applied carefully to patients with renal and hepatic diseases, hypersensitivity to lidocaine or hyperthermia.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Allergic reactions and vision impairment may be observed, although rarely, in sensitive patients.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:
It is not recommended to apply Xylodren simultaneously with betaadrenomimetics because of the possibility to develop hypotension, bradycardia and bronchospasm; with digoxin - possibly of reduced cardiotonic effect, and with curare-like preparations - danger of paralysis of the respiratory muscles.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
One or two ampoules of the different forms of the preparations are used to produce conduction and infiltrative anesthesia.

MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
