CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Severe myasthenia and cardiovascular insufficiency. The preparation
should be applied carefully to patients with renal and hepatic
diseases, hypersensitivity to lidocaine or hyperthermia.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Allergic reactions and vision impairment may be observed, although
rarely, in sensitive patients.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
It is not recommended to apply Xylodren simultaneously with
betaadrenomimetics because of the possibility to develop
hypotension, bradycardia and bronchospasm; with digoxin - possibly
of reduced cardiotonic effect, and with curare-like preparations -
danger of paralysis of the respiratory muscles.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
One or two ampoules of the different forms of the preparations are
used to produce conduction and infiltrative anesthesia.
MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Ampoules of 2 ml 2 % in packs of 10 and 100.
STORAGE:
At moderate temperature (15-30°C).
EXPIRY:
3 (three) years.
