- COMPOSITION:
Cyclobarbital calcium 200 mg in one tablet.
ACTION:
It has a hypnotic and sedative action. The effect occurs quickly and
is relatively brief - 4-6 h on the average. The effect is due to the
propagation of the inhibitory process in the central nervous system,
favored also by the suppressing action of the barbiturate on the
ascending activating system of the reticular formation.
INDICATIONS:
Insomnia, due predominantly to difficult falling asleep, mental
excitation, hypertonic disease, atherosclerosis.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Impaired hepatic function.
SIDE EFFECTS:
In single cases - sense of heaviness in the head, dizziness, lack of
liveliness after awakening. In enhanced sensitivity - skin allergic
reactions. |
