- COMPOSITION:
Retinol palmitate 300 IU
Ergocalciferol 400 IU
Cod-liver oil 0.01 g
Perou balsam 0.015 g
in 1 g of ointment
ACTION:
Deflamol is a combined preparation with a very good epitheliotonic
action. Vitamin A participates in protein and mucopolysaccharide
metabolism in skin and mucose and facilitates the normal development
of epithelial cells. It increases the resistance of the epithelial
tissue against physical, chemical and bacterial damage. Vitamin D2
accelerates epithelization. Cod-liver oil ensures solubility and
resorption of these oil-soluble vitamins, exercises a stimulating
action on the young granulation tissue and accelerates
epithelization. The hydrophil base absorbs the secreta and has
antiseptic properties, and stabilizes the components of the
ointment. The cicatrice is fine and has no tendency to form keloid.
INDICATIONS:
Burns of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees. |
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to some of the ingredients of the preparation.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTARTION:
In cases of sunburn, a thin layer of ointment is spread 2-3 times
daily on the affected area. In cases of thermic and chemical burns
the processed affected areas are covered with a sterile dressing
coated with the ointment in a quantity according to the dimensions
of the injury. Depending on the character of the burns, the dressing
may be changed every 5-6 days.
MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Ointment in tubes of 18 g and glass bottle of 700 g.
STORAGE:
At a temperature not higher than 25° C.
EXPIRY:
2 (two) years.
